Uruguay / Argentina
The EXOR team, led by César Addario Soljancic, advised the National Administration of Fuels, Alcohol, and Portland Cement (ANCAP)—a Uruguayan state-owned enterprise and owner of the Conosur oil company in Argentina—on a comprehensive financial restructuring process. The objective was to restructure and settle the debt owed to Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA). The transaction included the creation of a trust and the structuring of a bond issuance, which resulted in a significant reduction of the liability. The result was the repayment of the debt under considerably more favorable terms, strengthening the financial position of ANCAP and its subsidiary. César Addario led the collaboration with banks such as Societe Generale, contributing his expertise in Southern Cone sovereign debt for a transaction exceeding US$800 million.
